Question 1

When should I book hotels for the best rates?

Accepted Answer

Generally, booking 1 to 2 months ahead offers good pricing and availability. Last-minute bookings (within 7 days) can sometimes secure deals as hotels try to fill rooms, but risk limited availability during busy periods. Low season and midweek typically offer better rates than weekend and peak holidays.

Question 2

What's included in the hotel room rate?

Accepted Answer

Your base room rate covers the room and standard amenities. Check whether breakfast, parking, WiFi, or resort fees are included or extra. Our listings clearly state what's included in the displayed price. Some hotels collect tourism taxes at checkout, and these will be noted in your reservation details.

Question 3

Can I cancel my hotel reservation?

Accepted Answer

Cancellation policies vary by property and rate type. Many hotels offer free cancellation up to 24 to 48 hours before check-in. Non-refundable rates are cheaper but don't allow cancellation without forfeiting payment. Always check terms before booking. Travel insurance can help protect against unexpected cancellations.

Question 4

How do I know guest reviews are real?

Accepted Answer

Our platform only shows verified reviews from guests who actually stayed at the property, verified through booking records. We filter suspicious or promotional content to ensure authenticity. All reviews come from bookings confirmed through our system for reliability.

Question 5

What if the hotel doesn't match the photos or description?

Accepted Answer

If the property doesn't meet advertised standards, contact us immediately. We'll work with the hotel to resolve issues or help arrange alternative accommodation if needed. Document problems with photos for fastest resolution. Your satisfaction is our priority.

Question 6

Can I request specific room features?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you can add requests such as connecting rooms, higher floors, quiet locations, or accessible rooms when booking. While hotels try to honor requests, they're not always guaranteed. Confirm critical needs directly with the property after booking. Most hotels strive for guest satisfaction.

Question 7

Are online hotel prices really the best available?

Accepted Answer

Our platform aggregates competitive rates from multiple sources. We offer a best price guarantee: if you find a lower published rate within 24 hours of booking, we'll match it. Unpublished corporate or membership rates may sometimes be lower. Booking directly with us avoids intermediary markups.

Question 8

What's the difference between hotels, guesthouses, and hostels?

Accepted Answer

Hotels offer private rooms with en-suite bathrooms and daily service. Guesthouses are smaller, often family-run properties with simpler amenities. Hostels provide budget accommodation, often with shared rooms and bathrooms, popular among younger travelers. Boutique hotels offer unique, design-led stays with personalized service.

Question 9

Do I need to print my hotel confirmation?

Accepted Answer

While not mandatory, having a printed or mobile confirmation helps at check-in. Save your booking voucher offline on your phone in case of connectivity issues on arrival. Most hotels can look up your reservation by name and confirmation number, but having documents is always better.

Question 10

Can I check in early or check out late?

Accepted Answer

Standard check-in is usually 2 to 3 PM and check-out around 11 AM to noon. Early check-in or late check-out depends on availability and may incur half-day charges. Contact the hotel directly after booking to request and confirm any flexibility. Many hotels try to accommodate when rooms are available.

Question 11

What if I arrive after reception is closed?

Accepted Answer

Many hotels have 24-hour reception. For properties with limited hours, inform them of late arrival when booking. They'll arrange key collection via lockbox or security. Always keep property contact details handy. Some guesthouses or smaller properties need advance notice for late arrivals.

Question 12

Are hotel taxes included in the displayed price?

Accepted Answer

Our pricing shows the total amount including taxes and mandatory fees. Some destinations charge tourism or resort taxes collected at checkout, and these will be clearly noted in your reservation details. There are no hidden fees, so what you see is what you pay, plus any stated local taxes.
